When we Think Pink, we think of our Momo. She was diagnosed last August with breast cancer. Because of a long family history of breast and ovarian cancer, we were all terrified. After much prayer and discussion, she made the brave decision to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction. She took on her recovery like a champ, even with numerous complications along the way. She still has more surgeries to undergo before everything is "done", but she hasn't given up yet. She's leading two Bible studies-one for ladies and one for cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers. She is open and vulnerable to share her story. She isn't afraid to tell what God has done for her on her journey. On October 8, we celebrated one year cancer free!!!!! My mom is my hero, someone I'm so thankful that my girls can look up to.
